Charlie Thomas is presently CEO of NISCO Solutions, a fast growing enterprise software company in the Washington, D.C. area. Prior to that, Mr. Thomas founded and grew Claris Capital, a successful boutique investment bank, from 2002 to 2005. Prior to Claris, Mr. Thomas served from 1993 to 2002 as founder, Chairman and CEO of Net2000 Communications. Mr. Thomas led Net2000 through rapid growth as the company evolved from a start-up to a publicly-traded broadband telecom services provider whose market capitalization exceeded $1.5 billion at its IPO (Nasdaq: NTKK), which was led by Goldman Sachs and raised $230 million. After starting with less than $100,000 in capital, Mr. Thomas negotiated over $800 million in equity and debt financings and completed over $1.0 billion in transactions. Net2000 was named to Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 500” as one of the fastest growing private companies in America in 1999, and was also named to Deloitte & Touche’s Fast 500 in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Net2000 grew to $150 million in revenues and over 1,000 employees before being acquired by Cavalier Telephone in 2002. Mr. Thomas serves on several corporate boards is also active in several charitable organizations including the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

Prior to founding Net2000, he served in sales and marketing positions with IBM and Bell Atlantic. Mr. Thomas has been a featured speaker at many universities and industry events. Mr. Thomas is a National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) registered representative (Series 7). Mr. Thomas graduated from the University of Virginia.
